Cooperation with Agencies that are not in the Statewide Workforce Investment System and with Other Entities

The Virginia Department for the Visually Handicapped (DVH) is able to enhance its service delivery to customers through its interagency cooperation with and utilization of services and facilities of the federal, state, and local agencies. This cooperation and collaboration is carried out with formal and informal agreements.

DVH has formal agreements with the following agencies that are not in the Statewide Workforce Investment System:

• Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, and Substance Abuse
• Veterans Affairs
• Department for Rights of Virginians with Disabilities
• Virginia Retail Merchants Association/Department of Rehabilitative Services
• Virginia Department for Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Medical Assistance Services
• Department of Education
