Job Description

The Virginia Industries for the Blind, an enterprise division of the Dept f/t Blind & Vision Impaired, is dedicated to enhancing the lives of blind and vision impaired Virginians. VIB seeks a customer service oriented manager to manage Office Supply Stores located in Northern Virginia.
You will ensure efficient operations of a base supply store including day-to-day operations, supervision of staff, inventory management including purchasing, receiving, special orders, operation of point-of-sale system, training, marketing, and customer service. You will establish/maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, VIB staff, and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated supervisory experience; good computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge & experience in general retail store management, including areas of inventory control, loss prevention, receiving, merchandising, and oral/written communication skills; ability to increase sales; and . This is a full-time salaried position located at Ft. Belvoir. We offer a competitive salary based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package - health insurance, optional life insurance benefit, and non-VRS retirement benefits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with federal government and U.S. Army customers is a plus
- Prefer experience with a computerized Point-of-Sale system

VIB is recruiting for the following positions:
Ft. Eustis Supply Store: (1) Supply Store Associate- starting at $9.02 per hr w/ benefits
Fort Belvoir Supply Store (Opening April 2008): (2) Supply Store Associate- starting $11.27 per hr with benefits
(1) Driver (day time only)- starting $13.17 per hr with benefits
Pentagon Office Supply Store: (2) Store Associate- starting $11.27 with benefits
Qualified candidates should be able to pass a security clearance.
These positions require:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
