To move a case into Status 00
The referral processor completes the referral information and enters it into STARBASE. The referral information is given to the rehabilitation counselor if VR services are felt to be needed.
The counselor contacts the referral to determine if these services are needed.
To move a case from status 00 into 02
The customer signs an application and the counselor completes the VR Application template and has it entered into STARBASE.
To Move a Case into Extended Evaluation 06 or Active Status10
The counselor completes the VR IPE Eligibility/Ineligibility template and has it entered into STARBASE. A copy of this template has to be signed and dated by the counselor and placed in the IPE section of the case file.
To Move a Case into Status 12
The counselor completes the VR IPE for Regular Program template and has it entered into STARBASE.
To Move a Case from Status 12 into Statuses 14, 16, 18 or 20
There are two ways to accomplish this movement: 1) the counselor completes the status change in item 11 on the VR IPE For Regular Program template and has it entered into STARBASE; and 2) if the counselor needs to hold the customer in status 12 for a while, they can leave item 11 blank and complete a Status Change template when it is time to move the customer to an active status.
To Move a Case Among Statuses 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24
The counselor completes the status change template and has it entered into STARBASE.
To Move a Case to Closure into Statuses 08, 26, 28 and 30:
The counselor completes the appropriate sections of the VR IPE Closure template and has it entered into STARBASE. For customers who are closed because they are ineligible, the counselor also needs to complete the narrative section of VR IPE Eligibility/Ineligibility template. For closures in statuses 26, 28, and 30, the counselor must complete the VR IPE Closure Narrative.
To Move a Case into Closure in Post-Employment Statuses
The counselor completes the VR IPE Post-Employment Closure template and has it entered into STARBASE.
